Hi Derek,
Thanks for your feedback about the Stranger Things Top Trumps cards.
Just to explain a little further about the Stranger Things Top Trumps, the style of this edition was designed to represent the retro,1980's, eerie, darker theme of the show, which is why the images are slightly darker with print lines through them.
The Top Trumps in particular were intentionally designed to look like a crackly old video tape from the mid-80's.
One point to note is that the design and content of licensed games, which includes the information, characters, colours, stats, components etc., are decided by the licensor during development and production. They then give their final approval before the game is released to the public.
In this instance, the licensor of Stranger Things decided that the cards should include scenes from the TV series as well as characters and that the game's style should be dark, moody, retro, and 1980s-themed.
The listing description explains this:
''Description Inspired by the global hit Netflix series, Stranger Things, this Hawkins High School Top Trumps Collector's Tin is a must for fans. Inside you will find an exclusive Top Trumps pack based around the greatest scenes from Stranger Things, from the moment Eleven kills the Demogorgon, to Bob's Sacrifice, the Hellfire Club, and the Battle of Starcourt. Compete against your Top Trumps opponents with the help of Eleven, Billy, Dustin, Steve, Mike, Will, and the rest of the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana. Fans of Stranger Things merchandise can learn precisely where Vecna comes from, how Will communicates, and what happened to Barb in this unique edition of Top Trumps.''
I hope this helps?
Kind Regards
